This program allows the province to offer positions to foreign nationals who are able to fill voids in the labour force with qualified Skilled and Semi-skilled workers. Certain positions are required more than others and if the right applicants’ profiles are accessed by the province, the Federal government may invite them to apply for permanent residency in Canada online for the BC PNP submitting a paper application for permanent residency. Not all categories require work experience and some may accept work experience from abroad.
The BC PNP Tech Program works to ensure the technology sector can attract and retain the talent it needs to continue to be strong and adaptable. BC PNP Healthcare Professional Program
In order to fill needed positions in the Health Industry in British Columbia, the province offers this program to qualified foreign worker health care professionals who wish to make B.C. their permanent home. The Skills Immigration – Healthcare Professional category of the BC PNP facilitates physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to find positions by assessing their profile and deciding if their skills are needed in the field.
Entry-level and Semi-skilled Worker Program
This program allows the province to fill high-demand positions that don’t require a degree. It is a popular route for workers in a valid tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, or food processing occupation to gain permanent residence status in B.C.
The Entrepreneur Immigration stream accommodates business people who want to establish businesses and invest in British Columbia. Applicants must meet a strict list of criteria and prove they have the managerial skills, education, and training, work experience, funding, and be prepared to actively manage a valid business in B.C.
BC PNP International Graduate Program
This program accommodates those who have graduated with a degree in science from an eligible BC institution and wish to work and settle and become permanent residents and settle in Canada. Depending on the job being offered, recent international graduates of a Canadian university or college may not need any work experience.
BC PNP International Post-Graduate Program
This program is similar to the Graduate Program and offers opportunities for those who graduated from an eligible BC institution with a science degree, except you don’t have to obtain a job offer prior to applying to stay in British Columbia through this program.
Express Entry BC is designed to speed up the process for eligible skilled workers able to fill high-demand occupations. Applicants must also qualify for a federal economic immigration program by earning enough points in the comprehensive rating system, before being issued an invitation to apply for permanent resident status. Applicants must meet the usual criteria of relevant work experience, education/training, language skills, etc.
