The Nova Scotia Experience – Express Entry Program invites highly skilled foreign workers to work and settle in the province based on their score and profile. This program encompasses Federal Skilled Workers, Federal Skilled Trades Workers, and Canadian Experience Class Workers. Candidates for this program must have at least twelve months of full-time work experience or an equivalent amount of part-time experience working with a Nova Scotia employer. The work experience must be at NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B.
Requirements vary for each of these programs:
- The Federal Skilled Workers must have a minimum of a high school diploma, as well as at least one year of continuous full-time, skilled work experience.
- The Canadian Experience Class has no minimum education requirement. Candidates must have at least one year of full-time Canadian skilled work experience. This work experience does not have to be continuous, but it must have been obtained within the three years prior to submitting your application.
- For Federal Skilled Trades Workers there is no minimum education requirement. Candidates must have at least 2 years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade occupation. Candidates require either an offer of employment to work in a skilled trade or a certificate of qualification in their skilled trade issued by a Canadian authority.
